Vyvanse is an FDA-approved medication that is prescribed for adults and children to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is a stimulant drug that works by increasing activity in the brain’s reward centers. It also helps improve impulse control. VYVANSE comes in oral capsules and chewable tablets. It is recommended to take Vyvanse first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Heart disease or other serious heart problems. These medicines may also increase your blood pressure and heart rate.
Known hypersensitivity to amphetamines or any of the other ingredients in this medication. This medicine can cause a severe reaction, including angioedema, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and urticaria in certain people.
If your/your child is pregnant or breastfeeding. This drug passes through breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
Before taking this medication, tell your/your child’s doctor about any other medications or supplements you are taking or plan to take. Some drugs interact with this one, and this may affect how well it works or how safe it is for you/your child.
Drinking alcohol while taking this medication can make some side effects worse. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this drug affects you/your child.
